The gesturel sense and immediacy of throwing clay on the wheel... so similar to sketching is what first appealed to me. Over the years and after having traveled extensively, I became interested in masks. Used in many ancient cultures their sense of intrigue lured me into crafting my own. The ones I create are modern and handcrafted, with a sense of timelessness and antiquity. |
| I am a former fashion-illustrator. I have chosen the medium of clay to express myself for the past 25 years. Educated in New York City I relocated to Woodstock, NY where I continue to work and reside. |
